It was the company in which U.S. businessman Adam Zarafshani partnered with Canadian businessman Daniel Alexander White to develop real estate projects in Austin, Texas.

Together with Eco Industrial Business Park, it is one of the industrial parks of the Symmetry Asset Management inc. project. The company's web site explains that Absolute "is one of the emerging environmental service providers to the oil and gas, industrial and mining sectors" in the province of Alberta, Canada.

These companies belong to the same person: Daniel Alexander White, and as part of the multi-million-dollar loan that White and Texas real estate entrepreneur Adam Zarafshani had arranged with a lender, the property on which this company operates was pledged as collateral. In the deal, White and Zarafshani were ultimately left in debt.

American entrepreneur, CEO of Panache Development & Construction, based in Austin, Texas. Since 1997, he has worked in the areas of design, architecture, and engineering.

He was a partner of Daniel Alexander White. He planned to create a citadel on a former industrial property in Austin, Texas. However, Zarafshani claims that White never paid him back some money he loaned him and that upon observing his business actions and learning of his past, he decided to sever relations with him.

In Panama notarial papers, Zarafshani is listed on the board of directors of at least five companies, one of them, the company Progreso Verde Holding Corp that controls the Colombian companies that possess the title that threatens the collective title of the Black Communities of the General Community Council of San Juan. 

Zarafshani assured VerdadAbierta.com that these appointments were made without his consent and attributed responsibility for this to his former partner, Daniel White.

Through attorneys Jean Richa Mawad and Margie Angel de Cohen, this law firm registered the Panamanian company Progreso Verde Holding Corp with the Public Registry of Panama on May 28th, 2013.

Progreso Verde Holding Corp is the company through which Daniel Alexander White controls the Colombian companies that hold the title to the 32,450 hectares that are in conflict with the collective title of the Acadesan Community Council.

During 2019 and the first half of 2020, he was the legal representative of the three Colombian companies of Canadian businessman Daniel Alexander White: Eightfold Río Vida (formerly Cannpura Colombia), Eightfold Biodiversity Bank (formerly Proyecto Horizonte Verde) and Eightfold Colombia (formerly Desarrollo e Inversiones Progreso Verde).

Navarro is an environmental administrator from the city of Cali, with experience in green business and a track record of at least seven years in the hydrocarbons sector: between 2007 and 2015 he worked at the National Hydrocarbons Agency (Anh).

Canadian businessman behind the business that legally dispossessed the black communities of the General Community Council of San Juan and who today can dispose of the 32,450 hectares in Sipí, municipality of Chocó (Colombia).

He holds this title through Eightfold Biodiversity Bank, a Colombian company that in turn is controlled by a company created in Panama: Progreso Verde Holding Corp. However, in few of them he appears directly and in the Panamanian company, U.S. businessman Adam Zarafshani accuses him of having included him in the board of directors without his consent.

White had been convicted in 1998 of attempting to launder more than one million dollars from the illegal sale of liquor in the province of British Columbia (Canada) and was involved in a scandal of catastrophic proportions for the neglect of a pulp mill that stored chemicals, several of them toxic, in the municipality of Mackenzie, British Columbia province, according to Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (Cbc News).

Today, the businessman is facing civil proceedings in the United States and Canada for possible tax fraud. In April 2019, the Canada Revenue Agency initiated a tax audit of Symmetry Asset Management Inc, through Dan White Family Trust (DWFT) - both White's companies - as a third party in the context of the Symmetry audit.

Since August 3rd, 2016, this company has held title to the 32,450 hectares of land that threatens the collective title of the black communities of the General Community Council of San Juan (Acadesan) settled in Sipí, municipality of Chocó (Colombia). 

The company was incorporated by a private document on November 13th, 2014 under the name Proyecto Horizonte Verde and very quickly became controlled by the Canadian businessman Daniel Alexander White through the Panamanian company Progreso Verde Holding Corp.

In 2019, in the company's shareholder's minutes, the amendments to the bylaws and the change of name to "Eightfold Biodiversity Bank" were recorded, days later this decision was formalized in the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota.

Along with Eightfold Biodiversity Bank, two other White's companies are renamed Eightfold Colombia and Eightfold Río Vida.

This is Daniel Alexander White's first Colombian company directly related to the territorial dispossession of the black communities of Sipí; however, White's control relationship is not direct but is exercised through the Panamanian company Progreso Verde Holding Corp.

The company was incorporated by private document on April 26th, 2013 and registered in the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota on May 2nd of the same year; however, since 2012, businessman Luis Betancur began to talk about it before the General Community Council of San Juan (Acadesan).

On July 17th, 2019, in the minutes of the company's shareholders, the amendments to the bylaws and the change of name to "Eightfold Colombia" are recorded, days later this decision is formalized in the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota.

Along with Eightfold Colombia, two other White companies were renamed Eightfold Rio Vida and Eightfold Biodiversity Banks.

Daniel Alexander White and Adam Zarafshani had planned to build a citadel on a former industrial site in the city of Austin, Texas, USA. This project was announced as Eightfold Developments, but due to lack of financing and large debts the company liquidated the project.

In addition, a ruling by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas enjoined White and Zarafshani from using the name "Eightfold" in the United States in response to a trademark protection lawsuit filed by the commercial mortgage-backed securities investment firm, Eightfold Real Estate Capital, L.P., which was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.

Initially named Cannpura Colombia and incorporated by private document April 2nd, 2018, it’s Daniel Alexander White's most recent Colombian company. It was intended for agro-industrial and commercial medical marijuana activities.

Betancur was the first legal representative of Desarrollo e Inversiones Progreso Verde (today, Eightfold Colombia), through which he acquired, with funds from Daniel White, the 32,450 hectares that overlap with the collective title of the black communities of the General Community Council of San Juan.

This businessman is one of those most remembered by the authorities, the Acadesan Board of Directors and the community of Santa Rosa, the closest to the land acquired by the company, for his constant visits to the area. Betancur told this portal that he no longer has working or representation relations with the companies involved in the legal dispossession in Sipí, municipality of Chocó (Colombia).

He is one of the businessmen who, for years, when he was not the legal representative of the Colombian companies of the Canadian Daniel Alexander White, was in different substitute positions. 

Different sources told VerdadAbierta.com that, in addition to a working relationship, Williams and White have a very close friendship.

After the resignation of Boris Rolando Navarro Pabón, Williams was left in charge of the Colombian companies "Eightfold", owned by Daniel White. In addition, he is the founder and sole shareholder of the company established in Colombia for cannabis cultivation: Planta Vida.

This law firm helped him set up the company Desarrollo e Inversiones Progreso Verde (today, Eightfold Colombia), White's first company that bought 32,450 hectares of land in the municipality of Sipí and whose acquisition threatens the collective title of the Acadesan Community Council.

On February 19th, 2018, the Canadian citizen Marc Robert Williams incorporated the company under the name Paraíso Cannabis Colombia S.A.S.

According to the company's incorporation document, "the company's main purpose will be agricultural, agro-industrial and pharmaceutical activities, including the development of medical marijuana activities". It will also be able to carry out legal commercial activities.

On June 27 of that same year, at the first shareholders' meeting, the change of name to Planta Vida was approved. Documents show that the sole shareholder is Williams.

Through deed 16549, Progreso Verde Holding Corp was registered on June 21st, 2019 at the Twelfth Circuit Notary Office of Panama. It is one of the five Panamanian companies in which Adam Zarafshani claims to have been appointed within the management positions without his authorization or consent.

Progreso Verde Holding Corp owns 100% of the shares of Daniel Alexander White's companies in Colombia. In this way, White indirectly controls the Colombian companies involved in the dispossession of the black communities of the General Community Council of San Juan (Acadesan) in the municipality of Sipí, Chocó.

Attorney Alexis Williams Arosemena personally appeared before the Notary Office to formalize the Minutes of the extraordinary meeting in which Zarafshani was appointed.

In addition, the firm Williams & Williams was appointed as resident agent - a lawyer or law firm that registers the articles of incorporation when a corporation is incorporated in Panama. This firm serves in the same role in the five Panamanian companies linked to Zarafshani.

Salazar & Asociados Abogados is a law firm that, since June 2000, advises and represents companies in commercial and tax law matters, especially Canadian clients interested in mining and hydrocarbon businesses in Colombia.

It was this firm that Daniel Alexander White first came to Colombia on the recommendation of Trevor Wong-Chor, a lawyer who, at the time, worked at Davis LLP, founded in the province of British Columbia, Canada.

The lawyers of Salazar & Asociados Abogados advised and represented White's Colombian companies on different occasions, which is why they appear in several incorporation documents and notarial deeds related to the purchase and sale of the land that today threatens the collective title of the Acadesan Community Council.

Candian company founded in Alberta, Canada, on May 12th, 2009 by Daniel Alexander White. According to its website, "Symmetry Asset Management's work includes revitalized urban centers, industrial complexes and agricultural projects. We also inject new capital into repositioned commercial assets for growth." 

Different sources told VerdadAbierta.com that the resources for the payment of payroll, projects and operation of the companies Eightfold Colombia, Eightfold Río Vida and Eightfold Biodiversity Banks came from this canadience company.

According to a Canada Revenue Agency document, a tax audit was initiated on April 2nd, 2019 on Symmetry Asset Management Inc, through Dan White Family Trust (DWFT), another of the companies created by White.

Symmetry includes two projects developed in industrial parks in Canada: Eco Industrial Business Park and Absolute Environmental Waste Management.

According to Juan Carlos Salazar Torres, legal representative of Salazar & Asociados Abogados, Canadian businessman Daniel Alexander White came to his law firm through Trevor Wong-Chor, a lawyer who by 2012 worked at the firm Davis LLP, founded in the province of British Columbia, Canada, and which grew to 260 lawyers and seven offices across the country. In 2015, Davis LLP merged with Dla Piper, where Wong-Chor works.

This portal sent a couple of emails to Wong-Chor to find out how he had met the Canadian investor and what he knew about his past and his business and interests in Colombia, but no response was obtained.

Adam Zarafshani, a Texas real estate entrepreneur, says that he was appointed without his consent to the board of directors of Progreso Verde Holding Corp and that he has tried to talk to members of the firm to resolve the situation, but has not achieved any real results.

According to Texas real estate businessman Adam Zarafshani, he was appointed to the board of directors of Progreso Verde Holding Corp without his consent and when he contacted Yasser Williams to be removed from the company, Williams said, according to Zarafshani, that he would not act on any errands until Daniel White paid him a fee.
